Different between cohabitating and marriage

Cohabitating says I'm in this for what I can get, marriage says I'm in this for what I can give. - Kris Vallotton This really is a great definition of marriage and I would say that it is easy to find one being pulled into the just cohabitating state. Marriage requires constant work, I find I have to focus primarily on my attitude and thoughts on what I expect for my life with my wife. Personally I find the above quote to be a great weapon to use when I feel the pull from the enemy tempting cohabitation....

Living to the fullest?

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.
Dale Carnegie

An interesting thought to ponder

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. - Isaiah 55:2

My question is what are we suppose to be spending our money on that does satisfy and isn’t bread or something that feeds our natural bodies?

Wisdom for today (honor and business)

26 It is an honor to receive an honest reply. 27 Develop your business first before building your house. Proverbs 24 (NLT) These two sentences really jumped out at me ask was reading this morning. The first one because I had never though about how honoring it is to receive an honest reply and the act of showing honor to someone by being honest. Yet it is deceitful to not give an honest reply and there for not honoring to the person. In my life I want to give honor and it has become my goal to give a truthful and honest reply to others, in doing so I have also been learning to give such a reply...

"You must constantly ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? What are they doing to me? What have they got me reading? What have they got me saying? Where do they have me going? What do they have me thinking? And most important, what do they have me becoming? Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay?"
